If you don't already have one, purchase a fondue pot (a traditional one, or electric set will do!).
Gather all your Cheese Fondue Ingredients: - 450 grams Gruyere Cheese – 300 grams Emmentaler Cheese – 1 cup White Wine – 1 Garlic Clove – 1 splash Kirsch – 1 loaf of Sourdough or French bread
Take the clove of garlic and rub the inside of the fondue dish with the cut side, spreading the natural garlic oil on the surface.
Light the fondue burner and gently heat the white wine. Shred the cheese, and add it to the wine.
Stir the shredded cheese and white wine mixture as it heats, until all the cheese is melted. Finish the fondue with a splash of Kirsch!
Cut The loaf of bread into cubes that can be dipped into the cheese fondue. Serve the Swiss cheese fondue hot!
